Are all things connected?

I think that all things are connected in a way like the food chain, the food web, the nitrogen cycle....etc. In nature everything is connected to the Sun cause that is where everything started. If you mean it in a non literal way I think that yes. There are lots of examples in life where things in words connect, like Latin roots or the origin of a word. Things are connected in interesting ways that most people never think of, for example in Harry Potter there was the spell where you need to say Crucio, and that spell was used to hurt someone well it comes from the word to crucify which is to harm someone badly. Also snowflakes have 6 points and bugs have 6 legs so I guess that nature likes 6 but however in the Bible 6 is a bad number. The Bible also has some stories that are connected to other religions too. See how all these things connect in the world.

Reflection on First Semester of 7th Grade

I think that my first semester of 7th grade is good just really tiring. I was late for school for 2 times but I think that it is okay since I live in Taoyuan. I think that I am used to this school now and that the first semester went well to me. I think that English class is okay and that the homework amount is also good. The diary is hard to write since sometimes nothing happened on that day or at home so I sometimes don't know what to write but that rarely happens. I think that the stories for the literature circles are okay but I wish that we can read some stories that have fiction not always nonfiction or a auto-biography. I think the class is okay but sometimes I wish that we can have more time to correct our Holt readers so that we don't need to correct it at the end of every quarter or sometimes stay after school. The class journal is okay and that the topics are sometimes hard but I think that I am okay with it. The class is okay since I don't think that it is really that boring but I wish that we don't always have to be that late for lunch. I think that my reading skills should be better since that is where I usually make mistakes at reading skills on my test and defiantly the sentences and vocabulary.

Can where you are change who you are?

I think that no matter where you are still yourself. Your outer image mind change, but you know the old sayings its not what the outside counts it what who you are. You might get a haircut or catch up with the latest trends but your personality is still the same. I went to the US when I was little and I go there every summer, but I still liked reading and like to do the same stuff. I think that no matter where you are, you are still the same person and I don't think people will change the way they are. Only you yourself knows whether you changed or not. Some people change themselves to fit in but I disagree. If I were to change I would keep the personality I have and try to keep the original me unless my mom forces me to have a different kind of hairstyle or something like that. Remember its not what the outsides count, its what the inside counts.

Review on Video

I feel bad for the family because they are broke and they need to rely on the only thing they have their car. I wish that we can help them with anything we can. The whole family must need to help each other so they can have food to eat and they don’t even have a house. The whole family is close to each other and they are really happy to have each other at least. People usually think that they have a house that is bad and someone else’s house s better, after the video I found out that I am happy to have a family and a wonderful house to live in. with a family that cares and love me. I will also work harder so that I don;t end up in a car and that I don't have anything left to rely on. I wish the economics of the world can be better for the family in Florida. And I hope that more job options can open up for them. Lets all hope that these hard times for them can quickly pass.

Reflection on Class Project Work

 I learned in my class project that why a jackrabbit has such long ears. I also learned that animals are scarce and why it is so scarce, because that the climate at Manzanar is really hot so that I understand that why the people in Manzanar are really hardworking to do so many work under the hot sun.

   The problems at the start is that I have to find a website that includes at least 3 animals, but as I said animals are scarce in Manzanar so that it is really hard to find animals. Then I found a website that has 6 main animals that live in Manzanar. It was also hard to choose to, but I finally chose those because those three are most seen in Manzanar. We also had some problems with Glogster because we can’t import the videos so in the end we have to switch to PowerPoint and print that document out.

   I think that in the end we did pretty well and after I found those animals the rest is actually easy to find the information. We also did a pretty good job on the presentation and I wish that we could speak slower but overall I think it is pretty good.

What makes a community?

What makes a community? Communities are separated into different parts to build a community. Communities are built by having a group of people who  cares for each other and they are all in the same ideas or they live with each other. Sometimes there will be a apartment that is a community, because when there is a problem or if someone needs help they will help each other or they will try to solve the problem. Communities can be build up by people who are willing to help so that people can live better. There are also people who are in charge of the whole community. And of course there are also the people who lives in the community that make the whole community work. I live in a apartment for my piano classes and sometimes they will have meetings so that everyone can know the latest news and learn about the new established rules.

What is the theme for Amigo Brothers?

I think the theme for Amigo Brothers is that friendship can't be broken no matter what  happens and friends care about each other. In Amigo Brothers, Antonio and Felix are best friends and even though they are going to fight against each other they trained with each other until the last day before the match. They both know that they don't want to hurt each other so they both told each other about it which proves that friends care about each other and that even though they are going to fight against each other they know that no matter what happens they will still be best friends. Antonio and Felix were walking out of the ring with arm in arm and they are really happy so that means that even though they just fought for something that they really want they will still be best friends. That is what I think is the theme for seventh grade.
